Robert J. Cruikshank, age 84, of Maple Lake, died Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his home.

A Private Funeral Liturgy will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020 in Maple Lake with Fr. John Meyer officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Buffalo. Services will be live streamed on the funeral home's website.

Robert James Cruikshank was born September 30, 1936 in Maple Lake Township to William and Pearl (Rachel) Cruikshank. Bob grew up outside of Maple Lake, and graduated from Maple Lake High School. Bob honorably served his country in the Army National Guard. On May 28, 1960, Bob was united in marriage to Sharon Lapier at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo. They made their home in Crystal and were blessed with three children. They had a cabin in rural Maple Lake and eventually moved to Maple Lake year round. Sharon preceded Bob in death in 2007. Bob owned and operated C&H Custom Floors in Minneapolis. On November 21, 2008, he was united in marriage to Ann (Dircks) Wurm at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake.

Bob is survived by his wife, Ann of Maple Lake; daughter, Kelly Cruikshank of Maple Lake; grandchildren, Rachel, J.J., Lauren, and Maya; daugther-in-law, Laurie of Crystal; son-in-law, Ed Ladwig of Paynesville; siblings, William (Kay) and Marilyn (Wayne) Dearing; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; son, Ronald; daughter, Connie Ladwig; and parents, William and Pearl.

Bob's grandchildren will serve as urn bearers. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
