Muriel Rudolph Obituary

Muriel Rudolph, age 97, of Annandale, died Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Buffalo Hospital.

Public Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m on Friday, April 30 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. Private Family Memorial Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Annandale United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Annandale. The service will be live-streamed on the funeral home website. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Annandale Kiwanis Scholarship Fund or to the Apollo Club of Minneapolis.

Muriel Ann Peterson was born May 10, 1923 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Harold and Barbara (Hunter) Peterson. Muriel grew up in Minneapolis and attended Edison High School, graduating in 1941. She went on to obtain her bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota in 1945. On August 28, 1948, Muriel was united in marriage to James E. Rudolph at Trinity Methodist Church in Minneapolis. She worked for International Milling from 1945-1950, before deciding to stay home to raise their three children. In 1964, Muriel went back to working outside the home for Midland Co-op, retiring in 1982. Muriel and Jim remained in Minneapolis, until relocating to Annandale in 1988. Not one to sit still, Muriel remained active in her retirement years as a member of the Annandale United Methodist Church, Christian Women, Kiwanis Club, Annandale Improvement Club, History Club, and Camp Friendship Auxiliary. She also served as an election judge, a volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Drives and Friends of the Annandale Library, and for 20 years, Muriel volunteered at the Annandale Elementary School. Muriel enjoyed volunteering, photography, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.

Muriel is survived by her children, Teri (Keith) Crouch of Cincinnati, OH, Peggy (Richard) Rudolph-Lisle of Milwaukee, WI, and Mike (Launa) Rudolph of South Haven; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; parents, Harold and Barbara; and sister, Shirley Chenoweth.

Muriel's grandchildren will serve as urn bearers. Muriel's family will provide music for the service.
