Mark Loch Obituary

Mark J. Loch, age 65, of Maple Lake, died Thursday, January 28, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

Public Walk-Through Visitation will be held 4:30-7:00 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2021 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake. Visitation will continue without family present from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. John Meyer as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home's website.

Mark Jude Loch was born August 1, 1955 in Buffalo, Minnesota to Julius and Mary Monica (Jude) Loch. Mark grew up in Maple Lake with his 10 siblings. He graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1973. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and Cold War era; he was stationed in Germany. He continued his education at Staples AVTI and St. Cloud Technical College, obtaining two associate degrees. On August 28, 1981 he was united in marriage to Amy Elizabeth Kotilinek at St. Timothy Catholic Church. They continued to make their home in Maple Lake. Mark was employed by Rimage for 30 years and at Washburn Computers for the past 6 years; both as a technician in the receiving departments. Mark was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He served on the Maple Lake City Council for four years and was also a member of the Maple Lake Jaycees. Mark enjoyed sailing, motorcycling, swimming, playing cards, traveling, working on vehicles, and riding bike. Most of all, he enjoyed raising his family.

Mark is survived by his wife of 39 years, Amy of Maple Lake; children, Julie Ann (Joshua) Barnholtz, Elizabeth May (Cameron) Halsted, Bonnie Clair (Kellin) Proell, Veronica Marie, Emily Monica, Donna Cecilia (Brandon) Bares, Matthew Mark (Jaclyn), Bernadette Mary (Trevor) Paumen, Rebecca Susan, Rachel Rose, and Valerie Victoria; grandchildren, Sophia, Zoey, Izabella, Aurora, Clara, Aiden, Ethan, Leo, and Thea; mother, Mary Monica Loch of Maple Lake; siblings, Carol (Andrew) Rusinko of Crystal, Barbara (Terry) Kramber of Glenwood, Julie (David) Pribyl of Maple Lake, Nicholas (Robin) of White Bear Lake, Stephen (Lora) of Maple Lake, Susan (David) Jensen of Tonka Bay, Alan (Kathleen) of Buffalo, Robert (Patricia) of Wyoming, Mary (Mark) Jensen of Coon Rapids, and Catherine (Erik) Johnson of Chanhassen; and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Julius; and infant daughter, Caroline Jean.

Stephen Loch, Alan Loch, Robert Loch, Kellin Proell, Brandon Bares, and Trevor Paumen will serve as pallbearers. Nicholas Loch and Cameron Halsted will serve as honorary pallbearers. Sarah Goelz will provide music for the service. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
