John A. Rose, age 54, of Maple Lake, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at his residence.
Outdoor Funeral Liturgy will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the St. Timothy Catholic Church parking lot with Fr. John Meyer officiating. Please feel free to bring a chair and dress appropriately for the weather. Attendees are welcome to attend the service inside of their vehicles and listened to 98.3 FM or to sit closer to the service outside. Burial will follow at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery, Maple Lake. A walk through visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. An additional visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. without the family present at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be observed. The service will be live-streamed on the funeral home's website.
John Arnold Rose was born November 23, 1966 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Donald and Lorraine (Newman) Rose. John grew up in South Haven and was baptized and confirmed at Concordia Lutheran Church in Fairhaven. He attended school in Kimball, graduating with the Class of 1985. He furthered his education at St. Cloud Technical College and became an electrician. John was employed as an union electrician with IBEW 292. On June 4, 1994, he was united in marriage to Eileen Drontle at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond. They made their home outside of Maple Lake, where they raised their three children. John enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, or landscaping. As a handyman, John also liked to fix, tinker, work on house projects, and remodel homes.
John is surivived by his wife of 26 years, Eileen of Maple Lake; children, Emily Rose of Maple Lake, Ashley Rose of Montrose, and Derek Rose of Maple Lake; mother, Lorraine Rose of Kimball; siblings, Judy (Dennis) Silkworth of Milaca and James (Karlene) Rose of Redwood Falls; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. John was preceded in death by his father, Donald.
