Dennis S. Loch, age 72, of South Haven, died Friday, February 26, 2021 at his home with his family at his side.
A walk through visitation will be held 9:00-10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Kimball Christian Church in Kimball. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Joe Druga officiating. Burial will take place at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery, Kimball. The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website.
Dennis Steve Loch was born September 23, 1948 in St. Cloud to Waldemar and Vioka (Bowatz) Loch. He grew up in Kimball and was baptized and confirmed at St. Anne Catholic Church in Kimball. The family moved to Minneapolis and he graduated from Minneapolis North High School. He was self employed as an over the road truck driver for 49 years. On January 12, 2015, he was united in marriage to Renee Jean Huhn in Buffalo. They lived in South Haven where they had a hobby farm. Dennis loved all the farm animals he had over the years. He enjoyed driving, fishing, old cars, and most of all, the time he spent with family and friends. Dennis had a passion for people and was always willing to offer an ear or advice; he was a counselor to many.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Renee; children, Sara Langley of Cottonwood, AZ, Scott Pelz of Reno, NV, Steve (Toni) Loch of South Haven, Shelley Stuve (Darrel Lafave) of Cokato, Leah (Ryan) Huikko of Annandale, Brandi (Jeremy) Kaskinen of South Haven, Stephanie (Dan) Halvorsen of Annandale, Stacey (John) Kenney of Cosmos, Adam Hesse of Eden Valley, Troy (Katie) Hesse of Eden Valley, Aaron (Kate) Hesse of Eden Valley and Eric (Taylor) Hesse of Litchfield; 32 grandchildren, Jesse, James, Jenna, Bailey, Sheena, Brittany, Jessica, Trevor, Sierra, Billy, Emily, Charlie, Katelyn, Tyler, Madison, Lily, Justice, Aubrey, Carson, Chloe, Lily, Christopher, Peter, Wendy, Henry, Landon, Liam, Ashton, Aubree, Wyatt, Meah and Nayley; 7 great grandchildren, Jesse, Jr., Rylee, Blake, Brody, Easton, Brantley and Roman; sister, Melody Brower (Randy Stauffer) of Kimball; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wally and Vioka Loch; son, Dennis "Buck" Loch; and sister, Darlene Loch.
The urn bearers will be Ernest Kadlec, Robert Salmela, Darrel Lafave and Timothy Lafave.
