Clara B. Flanagan, age 89, of South Haven, died Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at her home.

Private services will be held.

Clara Bell Flanagan was born July 23, 1931 in Craig, Missouri to Edward and Alma (Knute) Maurer. At a young age, Clara moved with her family to South Haven. She attended elementary school in South Haven, and graduated from Annandale High School. She was united in marriage to Thomas Flanagan and they made their home in Robbinsdale before moving to Minneapolis with their two girls.. They later divorced. Clara then made her home in Colorado before moving back to South Haven to care for her elderly parents. She has made her home there since. Clara enjoyed playing cards and marble games, and fixing crossword puzzles.

Clara is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Bob) Hennig of Red Cloud, Nebraska; 3 grandchildren, Michelle (Preston) Nelson, Karyn (Seth) Raile, and Christina (John) Maidl; 5 great-grandchildren, Owen, Tyler, Chloe, Serenity, and Arya; siblings, Bernice Thurber of South Haven, Lawrence (Darlene) Maurer of Litchfield, and Wilma Hilary of Crystal; and nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim O'Keefe; parents, Edward and Alma Maurer; and brothers-in-law, Marrell Thurber and Lee Hilary.
