Charles Edward Hunt

Charles E. Hunt III, age 40, of South Haven, died Friday, July 22, 2022 at his home unexpectedly of natural causes.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Kimball with Fr. James Statz officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday, both at the church. Services will be livestreamed on the Dingmann Funeral Care website.

Charles Edward Hunt III was born October 4, 1981 at the St. Cloud Hospital to Charles, Jr. and Laurel (Larsen) Hunt. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Anne Catholic Church in Kimball. Chuck graduated from Kimball Area High School with the Class of 2000. He lived in the Kimball area all his life. Chuck was a union carpenter for Minuti-Ogle and Custom Drywall. Five years ago, he started his own business, Hunt Construction, LLC. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, inventing, learning to play the guitar and spending time with his dogs. He had a love of animals and of the outdoors.

Chuck is survived by his parents, Charles and Laurel Hunt; sisters and brother, Amy (Tom) Ertl of Watkins, Tracy (Shawn) Theis of South Haven, and Chris (Whitney) Hunt of South Haven; nieces and nephews, Alex, Ayana and Alder Ertl, Izaak, Jordyn and Kennedy Theis, and Lincoln and Lauryn Hunt; and his beloved dog, Hey. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles, Sr. and Arlayne Hunt and Catherine and Arthur Larsen; and his dog, Trigger.
