Bonnie Lee Zylstra was born January 6, 1943 in Anoka to Henry and Ann Zylstra. She attended country school before attending Annandale High School. In 1985, she earned her GED. Bonnie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Melvin W. Rozenberg, just over 63 years ago on April 3, 1959 at Silver Creek Reformed Church in rural Maple Lake. Bonnie and Melvin, along with their two children, farmed north of Maple Lake. Bonnie was a faithful member of Silver Creek Community Church where she served three terms as the first woman elder. Bonnie generously gave of her time and talents, volunteering countless hours at church and in caregiving for others.

Bonnie's passion for her faith, in helping others in their time of need, and in helping others in their time of ill health, touched many lives. Her love for baking, birds, nature, reading, and cats were unmatched only by her love of spending time with her family and friends, especially her two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Bonnie was dearly loved by her family and friends; she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin; children, Todd of Monticello and Sheila (Craig Wilkie) of Dayton; grandchildren, Adam of Monticello and Kyle (Kristin) of Anoka; great-grandchildren, Konner and Kenny; sisters, Sally (Keith) Schermer of Maple Lake and Cindy (Mike) Moss of Clearwater; and sisters-in-law, Darlene Zylstra of Monticello and Lois (Royce) Mueller of Buffalo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Zylstra and Anna Zylstra-Dalman; brother, David Zylstra; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dick and Alice Rozenberg.

The casket bearers will be Kyle and Adam Rozenberg, Steve Mueller, Clyde and Allen Hanson, and Ryan Zylstra. Don and Cheryl DeBoer and Linda Veches will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
