Alan "Whitey" Gene Marschel

Alan "Whitey" Marschel, age 59, of Annandale, died Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the St. Cloud Hospital from complications of COVID-19.

Private Graveside memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 15, 2020 at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Annandale with Rev. David Nelson officiating. The service will be livestreamed through the funeral home's website for friends and relatives to participate.

Alan Gene Marschel was born May 7, 1961 in Buffalo to Delbert and Ruth (Gunderson) Marschel. He graduated with the Class of 1979 from Annandale High School. He worked as a car detailer at Lundeen Ford from 1979 until 2004. Whitey enjoyed watching basketball, especially high school sports and the Minnesota Lynx. When he was healthier, he tried not to miss a weekend at the Wright County Swappers Meet. Whitey loved to be with his family and they loved to be with him. He will be missed.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Nancy (Les) Rotz of Pelican Rapids, Janice (John) Earl of Sun City West, AZ, Debra (Wayne) Clark of Annandale, Kevin (Linda) Marschel of Corcoran, Ronald Marschel of Annandale, Roger (Linda) Marschel of Otsego, Lori (Scott) Fleischacker of Annandale and Randy (Karla) Marschel of Howard Lake; many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Ruth Marschel.
